A second managing director for EVER: Johannes Bracke

How does one go from mechanical engineering to developing an app for health and biohacking? What seems rather strange at first glance makes perfect sense upon closer inspection.

Johannes Bracke studied mechanical engineering and managed complex projects for renowned companies for many years – demonstrating a high degree of responsibility, organizational talent, and technical expertise. During this time, however, he became increasingly aware of the importance of maintaining and proactively promoting physical and mental performance in the long term – not just when one's energy reserves are depleted, but preventively. The question of how to systematically and effectively integrate health into everyday life became a constant focus for him.

From mechanical engineering to biohacking

This led him to biohacking; he wanted to do something for his health. However, he didn't just want to try a few methods, but was looking for a comprehensive approachthat would noticeably and measurably improve his health. When he met Reiner Kraft and learned about his holistic concept, he was quickly convinced: This is the right way!

The first successes were quickly apparent, but just as quickly a serious problem became clear to Johannes: As fascinating as a comprehensive longevity protocol including accompanying therapeutic approaches is, the management of laboratory values, supplements and individual measures is not trivial.

Who can remember all that?

From one day to the next, a huge amount of data needs to be monitored, recorded, and compared. On top of that, there's the intake of various dietary supplements, some taken on an empty stomach, some with food, and some best taken in the morning and others in the evening. Who's supposed to keep track of all that?

The crucial question for Johannes was: Why isn't there a simple, clear, and comprehensive (smartphone) app that brings all these elements together? In fact, such an app doesn't exist yet, and Johannes, as an engineer, initially resorted to self-developed spreadsheets.

But that wasn't a really good solution: Important elements were repeatedly missing that couldn't easily be integrated into a spreadsheet program.

It was precisely this realization that gave rise to the vision for EVER: health should not be reactive and complicated, but proactive, individualized, and clearly structured. Johannes Bracke and Reiner Kraft both thought along these lines and promptly joined forces. Thus, the engineer and project manager initially became Reiner Kraft's biohacker and client, until the two increasingly discussed their vision for an intelligent app and discovered many commonalities.

From client to managing director: Johannes now works for EVER

Since April 1, 2025, Johannes Bracke has been working together with Reiner Kraft in the management of EVER. Johannes is responsible for (agile) product development and process control, while Reiner heads the software engineering side (including artificial intelligence) and contributes his knowledge of epigenetics and functional medicine.

With his technical background, Johannes and his team can develop exactly the platform he has always wanted: clear, practical and effective – for a healthier, better and longer life.
